Conversion tools

Three families of converter, separated by what happens to your file rather than by what they do to it.

  • Image to 3D print

    Runs on your machine

Separates a picture into colors and builds printable geometry — SVG layers, STL bodies and a 3MF for a multi-material printer.

Your image is opened by your browser and never uploaded.

  • Image converter

    Runs on your machine

Convert between PNG, JPEG and WebP, resize, and aim at a file size. Several files at once, downloaded as a ZIP.

Your files are opened by your browser and never uploaded.

  • Image editor

    Runs on your machine

Cut out a background by color or by clicking the object you want to keep, crop, rotate, hide something permanently, and mark things up with boxes, arrows and labels.

Your picture is opened by your browser and never uploaded.

  • Document converter

    Runs on a server

Turning a Word document into a PDF.

This one cannot run in your browser — turning a .docx into a PDF needs a word processor, and there is no such thing in a tab. So the file has to be sent to a server, and here is the whole of what happens to it: it is converted, both the file and the PDF are deleted, and anything left behind is swept within thirty minutes. It is never stored, never backed up and never indexed. The other direction — a PDF back into Word — is not offered, because what comes back looks like your document and is not one.
