Help

How the conversion behaves, what the files are for, and how selling works.

Converting a picture

Flat areas of color separate well: logos, illustrations, line art, pixel art. Photographs separate badly, because a photograph has no flat areas — every gradient becomes a band, and every band becomes a layer.

The number of colors is yours to choose, and the studio will suggest one by looking at the picture. Fewer colors mean fewer filament changes and a cleaner print; more colors mean a closer likeness.

Every layer is exported with the same viewBox, so the pieces reassemble without moving or rescaling when they are dropped into one project. The conversion is deterministic: the same picture with the same options gives byte-identical output.

Printing what comes out

A seam is the boundary two colors share. The engine never smooths or offsets one, because the two sides have to stay in register — if one moves and the other does not, the print has a gap you can see and feel.

Printers over- or under-extrude, so neighbouring parts can end up tight or loose. The export takes an XY tolerance in millimetres that moves every wall by that amount. It is applied when the geometry is built, never during the separation, so the seams stay where they were traced.

The number of extruders a listing needs is read from the conversion, not typed by its author. A four-color separation says four.

Selling a model

A listing can be free or priced. Selling needs a payout account, which is opened through Stripe; until one exists, what you have earned is recorded and held rather than lost.

The platform keeps a commission on each sale. The rate is set by whoever runs this installation and is shown on the sale before it completes.

A payout is one record per order and seller. It is made by a background worker rather than by the payment callback, so a slow or failed transfer is retried instead of being lost, and a refund reverses it.

Every paid order produces a receipt with the tax extracted from the inclusive price and a gapless number. It is a record of the sale, not an e-Arşiv invoice: a legal invoice is issued through a tax-registered integrator, which is not something code can do on its own.

Remixes, makes and reports

A listing can declare what it was remixed from. Whether it may is decided by the source’s license when the remix is created; the model page then shows the chain in both directions.

Anyone can post a photograph of their print against a listing. It uses the same upload and file-inspection path as the listing’s own pictures.

Points are awards, not a running total: one revocable record per person, reason and subject. Hiding a listing stops paying its author, and unhiding pays again. Nothing spends them.

Models, comments and makes can be reported. Reports go to a queue that moderators work through, and a moderator’s decision is theirs to reverse — an author cannot undo a takedown by republishing.
